I spent my morning with Evelyn. She is just about 7 months old and is the sweetest little girlie I've met in a long time. Equal parts cute and content. Here she is hangin with Mom and Dad... Sears Family Portrait!! Evenlyn is like a little watch baby. I don't think she took her eyes of me the whole time I was there. Strangers beware!! FAVORITE! Feet make a pretty good snack... Evelyn! It was so fun meeting you!!! I hope to see you again :-) 2 Comments When my friend Alexis asked me to come over and take newborn portraits of her baby girl Jordyn, I couldn't wait to meet this little one in person. She is so cute! And she looks JUST like her Daddy. Clone alert! We had a super chill lifestyle session in her nursery... Sisters! I know this one probably won't make it in a frame, but I like it :-) What you lookin at Willis? Happy Family <3 <3 For being only a week old, I couldn't believe how awake and alert Jordyn was throughout our session... Rock star! LOVE her hair :-) Jordyn Drew, it was such a pleasure meeting you!!! Congrats Lex and Howie! (and Remi). Remember Rebecca and Howie? Ummm duhhh of course you do! Well today was their beautiful daughter Julia Ruth's naming ceremony and I snuck a 5 minute photo session in before the party got started... Yummy!! Hand...nom nom. Ohhhh boy I love this one <3 Such a pretty little lady! Julia - it was so nice to finally meet you! We took our 2nd annual post-Christmas skating trip and this year I brought along my camera. A lot of these are out of focus, but I had to prioritize not falling on my face before the technical stuff. SorryI'mNotSorry. Casey G!!! Wearing his new Jets suit and looking A LOT like Daddy :-) Love this kiddo. Claire with the crazy hair!!!! Trendsetter. Claire made it one time around with Daddy before the rink officials booted her off for not wearing any skates. Fascists!! So we did the obvious thing and put skates on a 15 month old... Meanwhile, Casey G was tearing it up on the ice... Standing tall. But he needs a little help to reach the wall... And here comes baby Claire!!! It was a group effort... "I can't put my armmsss downnn!" Casey G and Uncle Danny Upside down girl!!! The first time I met Gregory, he was just an itty bitty little thing. Now he's about to turn 1 and I can't believe how much he's grown!! One thing hasn't changed though: Gregory's beautiful big brown eyes. Sighhhh. I am really loving these "serious" shots from my little clients lately... Here's Gregory with Mommy and Daddy!! This will be their first Christmas in their new house :-) I had a feeling this series of shots of Gregory and Mommy would end up being my favorites, and I was right :-) LOVE these... HAPPY BIRTHDAY GREGORY!!! Meet Owen. We had to reschedule our session a handful of times but we FINALLY got to meet on a veryyyy foggy December morning. He is an ADORABLE and adventurous fellow! He brought Mommy and Daddy!! You guys know I loves me some Mommy/Son pics. This next one on the left is probably my favorite everrrrr. Daddy and Owen aren't too shabby either :-) It was so fun meeting you little guy! Meredith contacted me a while back about doing some fall portraits for her family. Her WHOLE family. I was super pumped! I have never done a double-family shoot and I was totally up for the challenge. Then Hurricane Sandy washed away our original session date. Sighhhh. We rescheduled for last weekend and boy oh boy was it COLD and crazy WINDY. Full disclosure: I was pretty worried. I knew there were lots little fingers and toes coming to this shoot and I didn't want anyone freezing. We decided to go for it, we worked super fast and SPOILER ALERT, everything turned out great :-) These are some of my favorite family shots EVA! Enjoy... Here's Meredith's sister Lindsay, her husband Jeff and their 4th month old trooper, Sophie. And here Meredith is with her hubby Dan, their son Evan (who I'm gonna go ahead and nickname "Smiley") and their daughter Mia.. BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE! Lindsay and Meredith's Dad Steve also came along! FACT: I have a soft-spot in my heart for grown men who aren't embarrassed to get silly with little ones. Mia started playing in the leaves (sidenote: this next shot? FAVORITE) and her Papa came running over to join in the fun :-) Steve and his girls The whole gang! Love these last few. You can't even tell that we were battling 30 degree freezing cold winds :-) This whole bunch was so patient and SO much fun to work with. When Charlie's Mom contacted me about taking his holiday portraits, the first thing she said was: "I'll be amazed if you can get a shot of him, he moves fast." To that I said...CHALLENGE ACCEPTED! As promised, immediately after arriving at the location, he was off and running.... But then, we found a stick!! Hey Charlie, GOTCHA! And also, his outfit? Swoon. And also, his EYES!? Yuppp. Outfit change! And we're running again... He stopped briefly to bust a move. To date the cutest dancing I have ever seen. This kid is all sorts of outgoing! I see you! So nice meeting you little man. Happy Holidays!!! Thanks for forcing me into some post-Thanksgiving cardio :-) FUN FACT! My Dad is one of 7. I have manymany cousins. One of said cousins (Brendan) married a lovely girl named Catherine. Her name is Catherine Dunbar too! Once I get married, I will hold a torch passing ceremony in my backyard. Not really. But I know she will do the name proud!! She already has :-) ANYWAY - I met up with Brendan and T.O.C.D. (the other Catherine Dunbar), and their adorably spunky daughter Bridget for some portraits in the park. It was really cool seeing my cuz and his crew - especially Bridget - who has gotten SO BIG since the last time I saw her :-) I think it's safe to say the snowball effect has officially hit the Dunbars. The next 5 years will be a crazy explosion of weddings and babies. And I think it's awesome. Yeah, her eyes are just a little bit blue. Bridget's been looking a lot like her Uncle Nicholas lately (at least, in my opinion). Silly girl! Hanging with Mom... Daddy's girl! On this week's episode of "Pinecone Hoarders"... These last three are ONLY the cutest thing ever! Sigh. I really loved this session. See you soon Bridgey gurl! It's after midnight so that means that: a) yeah, I need to go to bed like...now. b) IT'S HALEY'S BIRTHDAY!!! Today is Haley's actual 1st birthday but I met up with her and her whole familia to celebrate this past weekend. The party was relocated last minute (literally, last minute) thanks to Hurricane Sandy but Haley's parents made.it.work. First thing you need to know about Haley - she literally has the most ENCHANTING eyes I've ever seen. Ever. I think I said "oh my God...her eyes!" 50 times while I was editing these shots. Speaking of making it work - I never would've intentionally planned a mini-family shoot in an alley between restaurants in Rockville Centre, but I actually love how these turned out. These kiddos need some serious ticklin' to turn those frowns upside down... See!? HOLY EYES BATMAN!!! Party time!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY HALEY!!!!! |
