Here's Laura looking drop.dead.GORGEOUS before the ceremony...
Laura and Craig were married a few weeks ago and had a big bash out in California. Last weekend they brought the party back to NY to celebrate with their East Coast family and friends. They are like the celebrities, double wedding!!
Here's Laura looking drop.dead.GORGEOUS before the ceremony...
VA VA VOOM!
Sparkly shoes. Love this shot.
Just as their lunch-reception was getting started (and my coverage was coming to an end) I noticed some supperrrr awesome light out in the parking lot so Laura and Craig agreed to take a few last portraits...
Joanna and Daniel were married last weekend in a super sweet ceremony at the Milleridge Cottage. I caught up with Joanna and the girls as they were all getting ready...
This dress literally made me 2nd guess my own wedding dress purchase. GORGEOUS.
Dress time. Stunning!
What else is new? I'm telling you - guys have it MADE.
I saw Daniel sneak away into the ceremony space so naturally I followed him (stalking is just part of the job folks). Turns out, he was hiding a mini-yoda in the garland. I don't think I ever got a full explanation as to why, but I got a picture. So there!
Ready to roll...
Since the sun goes down so farking early in the winter, Joanna and Daniel decided to do a "first look" so we could take the majority of the pictures *before* the ceremony.
I hate to back-track, but I'm still obsessing over Joanna's dress. LOVE. IT!
SPOILER ALERT: You will see these next two shots in my portfolio for the rest of the time. LOVE.
Joanna. DAMNNN GURRLLLL.
Although I've never been a fan of freezing my ass off, I love the light in the wintertime. It's so soft andddd well just awesome. Luckily, Joanna and Daniel were willing to brave the cold with me :-)
Fun with the whole gang.
IT'S MARRYING TIME! Joanna headed back up to the bridal suite and put on her a-m-a-z-i-n-g veil.
MARRIED!!!! Joanna and Daniel are honeymooning in Mexico right now, and although I'm still really mad they didn't take me with them, I wish them all the best. Mazel Tav!!!!
Jen and Brian's wedding day was last weekend on an icy and rainy Saturday but they were too busy GETTING MARRIED to even care about the weather. My kind of people!
Love me some details...and LOVE this bouquet.
Enter Jen stage left. Va va voom.
Let's just talk about how much I LOVE this shot Amanda, who was second shooting with me, got of Jen heading to the ceremony. Yeah, I love it, like alot. Thanks Amanda!!!
See...my Dad was right, I AM funny! :-)
Cutie cute cuteness.
Every time I shoot a wedding, I have a new favorite wedding moment. Post Jen and Brian, it's the first dance. Ending with the bride and groom surrounded by their family and friends. Romance!
Here are my favorite shots from Stephanie and Kijun's Thanksgiving-weekend wedding. That first sentence is something straight out of my third grade homework assignment ("This paragraph is about my favorite president. My favorite president is..."). Sometimes just starting a blog is the hardest part.
Anyway, now that we've gotten started and everything is awkward. Here's Stephanie getting gorgeous....
I think it's awesome that Kijun and his Dad passed on all the gourmet food for some good ole Mickey D's...they offered me some fries and I politely declined but, in truth, I wanted some realllll bad :-) I may have even stopped on the way home to get my fix...I couldn't rightfully say.
As I sat with these 4 similar shots of Stephanie looking AMAZING before seeing Kijun for the first time trying to decide which to blog, I realized that I could just go nutso and show all of them. I'm curazyyyy like that.
You guys are pretty gosh darnnn cute together if I do say so myself.
Back inside to get warm and take more picturessss
IT'S MARRYING TIME!!
Ending with the first dance. Stephanie and Kijun - thanks for having me along, congrats you two!!
So here's the deal...I LOVE shooting weddings. Neveen and Basil's was certainly no exception. They got married at The Waterside Restaurant overlooking the Manhattan Skyline. YUP. Twas beautiful. Let's jump right in to the images, shall we?
When I got there Neveen and Basil hustling around - getting ready and making sure the room was set up correctly. Which it was. MUCH more on that later...
We headed out into the gorgeous autumn air for some pre-ceremony portraits. I LOVE me a couple who makes each other laugh :-)
I hope these guys laugh when they see this photo. This dip took a few different attempts. But they nailed it in the end.
I LOVE THIS BOUQUET. And the flawless color coordination of the day in general.
When I saw this shot on the back of my camera 2 seconds after taking it, I'm quite sure I said something inappropriate. GORGE JUSS.
At some point culling these images became impossible because they are ALL slammin. Hey guys, you are attractive. Love, me.
IT'S MARRYING TIME!!! Man and woman become one. I really loved this sweet ceremony :-)
Making it official...
ALRIGHT STOP, collaborate and LISTEN. Seriously, Neveen's cousins put together the most breathtaking array of color-coordinated desserts and details. Pair that with the floor-to-ceiling windows and this photographer was in heavennnn.
Here's a fun story: this cutie pie was dodging me all day. Pretending to be shy and whatnot. Then, while all the grown ups ate, she hammed it up out of nowhere alone on the dance floor. Hey little lady, GOTCHA!
Well, the votes are in. Neveen and Basil, you guys are the cutest. You are in Hawaii right now, which makes me insanely jealous, but also happy....you deserve some R&R!!! Cheers! Thanks for making me a part of your nuptials.
I shot an AMAZING wedding today. So so soooooo many pictures to go through but I plucked a few of my faves from the bunch so Neveen and Basil can get a quick peek before they jet off to their honeymoon in Hawaii (they don't know it yet but they are taking me with them).
<3 <3 <3 Congratulations Neveen and Basil!! Stay tuned for 3,000 images from this wedding. Cuz it rocked.
Ladies and Gentleman, please fasten your seatbelts and put your tray tables in the upright position because this wedding ROCKED. hard.
Remle and Jeff, non-profit warriors and all around AMAZING people, were married at the lovely Full Moon Resort in Big Indian, NY.
Remle banged up her knee a few weeks ago but instead of getting sad she got awesome. Cute sneakers, golden cane and all...
Hair and makeup was done by her fabulous UCBs (Under Cover Bridesmaids).
How many UCB's does it take to get a bum-knee bride into a gown???
anndddd WOW. gorgeous GORGEOUS gorgeous dahhhlinggg...
Anndddd this is when the wedding photographer starts crying. I absolutely adore these next two shots of Remle's Mom. So sweet.
MEANWHILE, Jeff and the guys were enacting their own version of "getting ready"
Off to take some portraits and then it's time to get hitched!!!
When a bride and her maids dance, LITERALLY dance, down the aisle to "Home" by Edward Sharpe...I award cool points for life...
MARRIED!! Proud of this one :-)
This is what happens when I yell out "HOLY #@&% YOU GUYS ARE MARRIED!!!" I'm soooooo professional.
My hand to God - I actually do take "normal" portraits as well, but let's face it - these are just more fun!
I snapped this shot as I walked back to my car. The party was just getting geared up. I am fully confident that the rest of the evening was amazing. Remle and Jeff, you complete me. Let me photograph your littles!!!!!
