So tomorrow I am picking up my new car and whether I felt like it or not (I didn't) I had no choice but to tackle item #28 on my 30 in 365 list.  Yup, I cleaned out the trunk of my car.

I know what some of you might be thinking..."what's the big deal?  You cleaned your car....I mean get over yourself."  Well SOME OF YOU might not realize that I am a hoarder on wheels and the epicenter of chaos just so happens to be in the trunk.

Let's just take a look, shall we?

I spy a barbeque from when we went camping IN 2010, 2 blankets (?), my winter coat, a radio and a chalkboard.
Once I got all the big stuff out, there was a layer of random crap covering the entire surface of the trunk.  I couldn't stop to take a picture of each item because it would've taken me 4 hours to get through it instead of 2....BUT I did grab some shots of my favorite bizarre trunk-dwelling possessions...

FIRST UP:  Steven King's IT.   I was unaware of the fact that I owned this movie and now that I know it's been driving around with me everywhere I went for the last 4 years, I'm more than a little weirded out.
MMM pretzels!  This is another artifact from my one and only camping experience....2 1/2 years ago.  Gross, I know.
The remnants of my "Scuba Steve" costume circa Halloween 2010...
Finally found my TWILIGHT dvd.  One of 8 total DVD's discovered in the trunk.
My FIT student ID!  Yes, my middle name is Frances, WHAT OF IT?   That's my Grandma's name and I wear it with honor so STEP OFF!
The beautiful blonde toddler in this picture turned 7 yesterday.  HAPPY BIRTHDAY LENNON!
The "keepers" pile.
SUCCESS!!!
So I won't get weird or anything, but I'm actually really sad to be trading this car in.  It was my first real "grown up" purchase 4 years ago, sparked by a spider-induced fender bender.  So much has happened in the past 4 years - my sister got married and had 2 amazing kiddos, 2 of my brothers got engaged, so many people around me have moved up, moved out etc. etc.  I can't wait to see what the next 4 years has in store.  I will be experiencing it all behind the wheel of LIME GREEN VOLKSWAGEN BEETLE.  get it.

Here are a few final shots I took for myself.  Thanks little white Elantra!  It's been fun.  :wipes tears:  I'm not really crying.  Okay maybe a little.
