Lets be real. I LOVE surprises. Especially when I'm involved in them.
BACKSTORY: Kaitlin is my very best good friend since the 3rd grade. And if I used terms like "soul sistah" I'd come right out and tell you that this gurll is my friggin soul sistah. When I'm having a particularly tough time being a grown up, all I need is a lunch or a 2 hour phone convo with her and I feel recharged and ready to take on the world. She is on a short list of people I can truly be 100% myself around at all times. LOVE HER. Her hubby Chris ain't too shabby either. Their wedding day (exactly one year ago today!!!) was a rainy one and the weather dampened the amount of pictures they have - just the two of them - from the day. Chris and I got in cahoots to surprise Kaitlin for their 1-year with a sunset beach photoshoot. Ummm sign me up!
I found them sitting on a bench on the boardwalk at our secret meetup spot. When I creeped up behind them, Kaitlin did one of these:
"Hey Catherine....wait...WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE!?"
Success!!!! Surprise shoot commence!
